Arke Aeronautics LLC Privacy Policy

Arke Aeronautics (referred to as “Arke Aeronautics,” “Arke,” “us,” “our,” or “we”), provides this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) that applies to the use of the arkelive.com website (https://www.arkelive.com) (the “Site”), the Arke mobile application (the “App”), as well as the client-facing online dashboard (the Site, mobile application and service collectively referred to as the “Service”).  The Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with, and is incorporated into, the Arke Terms of Service (“Terms”) which is available at: www.arkelive.com/legal. Both individuals and institutional departments, agencies or teams (“Unit(s)”, or "Department(s)") will use the Service (making each a “User(s)”).  By using the Service, you, on behalf of yourself and the Units you represent, agree to be subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and grant us consent to collect your information.    

 

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT

In order to provide the most accurate information to Users of our Service, we collect the following information: 

  • Personal information inputted directly by Users when they register with and use the Service. 

  • Department information inputted directly by Arke on behalf of the Users.

  • General information automatically gathered when Users use the Service (location, user actions, etc.). 

  • Third-party and public information automatically collected by the Service (weather, etc). 

 

Information You Provide to Us

Upon registering for the App as a member of a Department, you will be asked to provide personal information (such as your name, telephone number, email address, uploaded profile picture, rank, account password, and whether to enable location sharing). When you use the App, you will be asked to manually confirm your status and location. Upon registration, your Department may also provide personal information about the Users within the Department (such as identifying information, past Fire Department Fire Reports, including equipment used, who was on scene, and data regarding  past incidents).  When using the Service the Department will provide information about staffing and responses to current situations, which may include your personal information.  This personal information may be made available to other Users, such as members of your own Department, or potentially members of other departments, agencies, or teams that you or your Department authorizes to receive such information.

Automatic Information Collection

When you access and use the Service, it may use technology to automatically collect:

  • Your device's IP address, browser, operating system, and statistics about how you use the Service. If you connect to our service using a mobile device, we may also collect information about your device including the device, operating system, and browser used and including a unique device identification number. 

  • GPS data from your smart device. You have the ability within your own smart device to enable or disable location services, which controls whether or not we are able to obtain this information from you.

  • Biometric data from your smart device, used to determine your health status as you respond to emergencies. You have the ability within your own smart device to enable or disable biometric information collection, which controls whether or not we are able to obtain this information from you.

  • Internet of Things (IoT) Data, which is collected through video feeds, sensor feeds, unmanned aviation systems/drones, robotic devices, existing infrastructure, RF radio traffic, and other data collection devices. 

  • Cookies. Arke uses cookies and similar technology to collect aggregate (non-personal) information about Site usage by all of our Users and to help us remember you and your preferences when you revisit the Site. These cookies may stay on your browser into the future until they expire or you delete them. These cookies usually are erased when you close your browser window. Further general information about cookies and how they work is available at www.allaboutcookies.org.

 

Third-Party Data 

Arke uses Third Party Data to provide more accurate information in real-time to Users of the Service when the Service is active, which by way of example and not limitation consists of: 

  • Google Maps API (Or other similar map service providers)

  • Computer-Aided Dispatch Information (Example: Motorola CAD, or RapidSOS)

  • Geospatial Information Systems Data (Example: ESRI)

  • Air Traffic Data (Example: FAA, SWIM data) 

  • Other public data, including weather, maps, asset locations such as fire hydrants, burn permits, floor plans, emergency exit routes, etc.), 

  • and other useful information such as vehicle data, meeting points, safety plans, and the location of individuals within the space).   

 

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Arke may use your data for any and all of the following purposes: 

  • Ensuring the technical functioning of the Service. 

  • Providing the Service to Users, including the display of customized content. 

  • Storing your data—both raw and abstracted—on Arke’s servers. 

  • Developing our algorithms and training our Machine Learning and AI algorithms. 

  • Generating reports and analytics for department or municipal/state/federal reporting and marketing purposes. 

  • Sharing data upon request with other users or First Responders for Mutual-Aid operations

 

THIRD-PARTY DATA SALES

Arke reserves the right to share certain data with third parties such as insurance providers or others in select cases subject to the following provisions: 

  • Pieces of aggregated, abstracted, non-personal information (information recorded about Users and collected in groups so that it no longer references individual users, and abstracted into a usable non-identifying data bundle) may be shared with, or licensed to non-User third parties. Such information does not identify you, your files, links, resources, or your department individually. 

  • Individuals may request that Arke delete their original, non-abstracted data. To do so, contact Arke at support@arkeaeronautics.com to request that your data be removed.

 

DATA SECURITY

Arke is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We take appropriate measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. All information you provide to Arke is stored within  3rd party managed secure servers protected by a variety of modern industry-standard technologies, methodologies, and data security measures designed to help protect your personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.  

 

Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet. No method of transmission over the internet, or electronic storage is 100% secure. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. Arke is not responsible for the security of your internet connection, circumvention of any privacy settings, or security measures we provide. Therefore, while Arke uses reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, Arke cannot guarantee its absolute security.

 

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This policy may change without notice, at any time. Your continued use of this Service after we revise this policy means you accept those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. All changes will be effective as soon as we post the new privacy policy within the Service and publically on our website.

If we make material changes to how we treat Users' personal information, we will email an alert to the address you used during registration and also post the new privacy policy on this page with a notice that the privacy policy has been updated after we make the change. 

The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
